This is just too adorable! I really want to make one for myself… but I’m really new to knitting. Can anyone give advice on the best way to figure out a proper adult size?

Jenn, skp means “slip 1, knit 1, pass the slip stitch over the knit stitch as if to bind off”
Not sure why your bobbles would be off centre if you made each one where it’s marked on the graph.

Thank you for the pattern!
I am not trying to be daft, but can you tell me what “skp” means when making the bobble, my bobbles all came out off centered.
Thanks again, I am making this in pink for myfriend who is expecting a little girl and am loving how it is turning out minus the off centered tails.

This reminds me of reading to my daughter from her big big of Beatrix Potter stories with plenty of her original illustrations..Mrs TiddlyWinks the hedgehog who does the laundry was one of my favourites. She was all fat and cosy-looking. I’ll try this one for my 15 month nephew, though he has a big head so I may have to make it a bit bigger.

Very cute; the little bobble tails are perfect! I shall have to remember this hat pattern when I next need to make a child’s hat (and try to resist the temptation to make an adult size one).
